SVUSD 2024 Teachers of the Year
One of the missions of the Education Foundation is to acknowledge our SVUSD educators by supporting District recognition events. This year we are proud to have participated in the Teachers of the Year celebration when one teacher from each of our eight District schools is recognized for outstanding service to our schools and students. From that group one educator is chosen Overall Teacher of the Year. The Foundation's acknowledgement includes a congratulatory letter accompanied by a small remuneration.

A Happy Family!
A very happy Bella Vista Elemetary School family enjoyed a back-to-school shoping excursion at Target recently. The generosity of donors and the Education Foundation of Sierra Vista (EfofSV) made this event possible. The family's name was drawn at random from the entire student population as three excited children, a grateful mom and grandma joined in with Kriss Hagerl (Foundation President) and Suzanne DeRosier (Foundation Secretary) as the children eagerly picked out their favorite things.
Smiles abound as Kindergartener, Piper, tries on and admires her shoes with the help of Mrs. Hagerl, Foundation President. Sixth grader, Chase, proudly displays his new boots and jeans as Grandma Doris looks on. Mom, Tiffany, helps with the check out process with the help of Mrs. Hagerl and Suzanne DeRosier, Foundation Secretary. The EFofSV wishes this family, and all SVUSD families a GREAT school year!
