EFofSV was founded in 2009, by Dr. Hal Thomas and a dedicated group of community leaders and SVUSD alumni for the purpose of enriching the learning environment of Sierra Vista Unified School District through raising and managing funds, encouraging endowments, and increasing public awareness of current and future public education challenges.

     Since our inception in 2009, with help from our community, generous monetary donations, and the Halloween Spooktacular fundraising Bash we have identified and funded five major areas in which we can support and enhance the educational experience of our SVUSD students. These endeavors are:

     * Teacher Inspiration Boosts (2017 - 2023) helping teacher fund and execute special classroom projects. To date $12,557.00 have been awarded to 63 teachers.

 

     * Scholarships (2020 - 2023) five $1,000 scholarships have been awarded to Buena High School graduates.

      * Scholarship Endowment currently has a balance valued at nearly $30,000 which, we hold with the Arizona Community Foundation and is continually funded so it builds into a perpetual scholarship fund.

 

     * Student Organizations (2010 - 2022) have received $7,269.29

 

     * Classroom Supplies for All Schools (2019) $4,000 was distributed to all schools supporting 350 teachers.

 

     * Teacher Events (2013 - 2023) From recognition and retirement dinners and gift cards, State of the District Breakfasts, Teacher of the Year recognitions, and Teacher Appreciation Week activities our organization provided $32,087.37 to recognize and celebrate our teachers.

 

These accomplishments were not done unilaterally. Our funds come from our generous community through monetary donations, businesses who provide supplies, gift cards, and discounts, and restaurants and  businesses who make our Spooktacular Bash possible.  To all these people and organizations we are exceedingly grateful.  If you want to know more or how you can help email: ______________.
